Snipping Tool is a useful feature that allows users to capture the screen and crop it. It is not new for Windows users but in Windows 10, snipping tool does not appear in searching result. Searching box in Start Menu cannot help you to find and run Snipping Tool, even when you restart your computer again and again. It’s even more surprising when Snipping Tool also disappear in “Accessories” (All apps > Windows Accessories) of Start Menu. Method 1: Rebuild the search index.
It is not so difficult to rebuild the search index, but Windows 10 may take hours to complete the Rebuild process, but in fact it often takes only some minutes to finish in almost cases, depending on several different factors.
Firstly, open the “Indexing Options” by typing “Indexing Options” into the search box in the Start Menu or Taskbar> Press Enter.

Note: If search feature is not active, open Control Panel in Windows.
Then on the control panel, change the View by using “Small Icons”> Click the “Indexing Options”.

On the window “Indexing Options”> Click the “Advanced”

 Click the “Advanced”

On the window “Advanced Options”> in tab “Index Settings”> In the option “Troubleshooting”, you’ll see the button “Rebuild”> Click “Rebuild”

You will see the confirmation box with the message “Rebuilding the index to might take a long time to complete. Some views and search results incomplete Might Be off until the rebuilding is finished message “.

Click Ok to finish

Click OK to let Windows 10 start rebuilding the search index.

Method 2: Run Snipping Tool from the System32 folder

Open File Explorer and navigate to C> Windows> System32 (with “C” is the installed drive Windows 10). Locate the file “SnippingTool.exe” and double click on it to launch.
