Taskbar is one of the essential areas of Windows operating system. It is usually located at the bottom of the screen by default but you can move it to any screen side. The Taskbar in Windows 10 contains the Start button, a system tray area and buttons for pinned and running apps. Besides, tech giant Microsoft gives it a lick of paint and new features.

However, for a lot of users, the taskbar is not very important and they may want to automatically hide it to create more space. To auto-hide the taskbar in Microsoft’s newest operating system Windows 10, you can open Taskbar and Start Menu Properties. Then you put a check mark next to Auto-hide the taskbar. If it is not working for you, following are 4 simple steps you can take to get rid of this issue. Let’s check out now! It’s very easy to do!

Windows 10 lets you auto-hide the taskbar but it looks like many users are unable to auto-hide it.

Step 1: Open Task Manager by simultaneously pressing Ctrl+Shift+Esc keys on your keyboard. Another way to open Task Manager is right-clicking on the empty space on the taskbar and then clicking Task Manager.

Step 2: When the Task Manager is launched, click More details and switch to Processes tab.

Step 3: Under the Processes tab, scroll down to bottom and find the Windows Explorer process and click on it. If you don’t see Windows Explorer in the list, you can open up any folder or This PC to see it in the list.

Step 4: Click the Restart button.

That’s it. Now you fix the auto-hiding issue for taskbar in Windows 10. From now on, as you move the mouse cursor away from your taskbar, it will automatically hide. Hope this works for you. Let us know if you have any problem and feel free to leave a comment below.
