Microsoft’s newest operating system Windows 10 is officially available for all after it was released on July 29. According to the company, the newly launched software has landed on 75 million devices over the last month. Meanwhile, new stats from NetMarketShare also shows that Windows 10 is now the fourth-most-popular desktop operating system in the world.
With the free upgrade offer from Microsoft, many users upgraded their machines to Windows 10. While most of them are satisfied with the new OS, some get annoyed because they encounter some problems after Windows 10 update. One of them is the No sound issue on Windows 10.
If you are encountering this annoying issue, follow these easy steps to fix it on your computer.
Step 1: Right-click the sound icon in the taskbar which is located at the bottom right hand corner. Then you select Playback Devices in the ensuing context menu.
Step 2: Double-click Speakers that is selected by default to open its properties window.
Step 3: Go to Advanced tab and change the bit rate to either of the following – 24bit/44100 Hz or 24bit/192000Hz – depending on the speaker configuration.
Step 4: Click on Apply and OK to save all the changes.
If the sound issue isn’t resolved on your Windows 10 computer after you follow these steps, there is another method for you to restore sound:
Step 1: Go to Start Menu, then search for Device Manager and open it
Step 2: Expand Sound and audio devices.
Step 3: Right-click on the current sound driver and then uninstall it.
Step 4: Click on Scan for hardware changes to update the sound driver
Hope this will work for you!
